A Case for Naps



I know you don't need me to tell you this,
but naps are the best way to sleep.

In case you aren't completely sold on this idea,

or you need fodder for your arguments at parties:

1) There's no shame in letting your body sleep when its tired. Life is tiring. When sleep calls, you answer. Even if it happens during dinner.

2) Naps are a special kind of bedtime where I can actually fall asleep not vividly re-living past embarrassments and poor choices and missed opportunities. I just...fall asleep until I'm not sleeping anymore.

3) Naps fast-forward you to a slightly groggy but better version of yourself, even if just for a few hours.

4) If you are dieting/avoiding a vice, naps are a great way to forget your misery for a bit. For me, that's finally 37 freaking minutes I wasn't eating something.

But seriously, however you need to catch your sleep, get it. 

We are sub-humans when we aren't well-rested.
